Day 6 - Tuesday, September 10, 2013

A "No Wind" day (this time for real!)

Yesterday, the forecast was for no wind, and we sailed most of the day.  Today the wind was for decent Easterly winds in the afternoon until dusk.  We arrived at Bob's beach around noon to whitecaps. Everything looked on track for a great day.

Several headed out, but the wind wasn't as strong as it looked.  As the afternoon went on, the wind slowly faded instead of building.

On the good side, it was a glorious day in the high 80's, and we were sitting in a beautiful park area.
Ross and Kent showed up later in the afternoon, talking about their sailing on the Coast yesterday.

For a no wind day, we had a lot of gear all over the beach, but we probably need the practice rigging it anyway.  I did make great progress on the book that I am reading..  :<)

China Gorge for supper...

Looking forward to better (some) wind tomorrow!

Lots of gear rigged, but not enough wind....
